Observation of the Day: On the general suckiness of things

Everything kind of sucks. —attributed to "William Leef, a third-year student at Seton Hall University School of Law," by Leigh Jones reporting in "3Ls Do the Grim Math on Job Market"

Times are tough for attorneys unless they're specialized in bankruptcies or receiverships. Jones posits that eight thousand—mostly young—lawyers have been laid off, making them experienced rivals for spots that would normally have been reserved for the Class of 2009.

Any tears I may shed will have a distinctively reptilian quality about them. It's a shame so many minds not suited to the profession were wasted on it.
