Sealed with a fish
Princess Nori of the Japanese royal family has become betrothed. According to Deborah Cameron of the Sydney Morning Herald,
Film of two whopping sea bream laid out as though beached on a table inside the Imperial Palace made for riveting viewing as the lead item on weekend news bulletins. Cameras also hovered over two bolts of fabric and three bottles of sake, also given as part of the royal betrothal rite.In a reversal of the usual fairy-tale ending, upon her marriage the princess will become a commoner, albeit a wealthy one.
